The VKNG Team has an exciting new announcement. We are moving our artisan workshop to Paris.
In many ways, this is a homecoming, as VKNG was born in France 12 years ago. We wanted authentic-feeling, high-quality, Viking-inspired jewelry, but could not find what we were looking for on the market. We decided to make our own, and VKNG was born.
A lot has happened since then, so this feels like both a new chapter and a homecoming.
We are very grateful to everyone who has supported us over the last decade, and hope that this move will allow us to offer our customers and supporters even better products and services.
We also want to make our customers aware that there may be delays in delivering orders during the period of our move, September 1-20, 2026.
Why We Are Moving: Growth, Space, and Innovation
We are making this move for several reasons. First, it will bring our teams closer together as we have our artisans, designers, sales, and admin teams together in France. This will allow us to collaborate more effectively.
We are also moving into a larger workshop space in Paris, which will provide room for state-of-the-art equipment that we can use alongside our traditional toolset. This means we will also be able to grow our team and bring more skilled metalsmiths and woodcrafters into the workshop.
We anticipate that this will allow us to expand our product range, offering more historical and mythologically inspired Viking pieces. We hope that this will also include working with our affiliate partners on bespoke collections that appeal to our shared audiences, such as our recent collaboration with YouTuber Metatron.
Honoring the Craft: Our Handcrafted Techniques
Things that won’t change are our use of premium materials and time-honored techniques.
We remain committed to using high-grade materials, hand-crafting pieces in Gold, Sterling Silver, and Brass. You will also find select pieces in wood and stainless steel, and iron, selected when appropriate for the design.
We will also continue to utilize time-honored techniques for creating authentic, high-quality pieces. This includes lost-wax casting, preserving ancient casting methods for intricate knotwork and detailed runic motifs.
Every single piece is then individually hand-finished and hand-polished by our master artisans.
But our commitment to traditional practice doesn’t mean we aren’t utilizing the latest equipment for the best results. For example, you can personalize your chosen piece with your choice of engraving, including runic inscriptions.
Transition Details & Important Delivery Notice
Our relocation will be happening between September 1 and 20, 2026. We’ll do our best to fulfill orders as quickly as possible, but production and shipping may be delayed during this period. Customer support will remain fully operational during the transition, so you can check the status of your order at any time.
